Nutria

has anyone seen one of these on the Delta? After watching many seasons of Swamp People I figured these critters were only native to the deep south and none were out west. Nice alligator food

You can never ever go wrong with a few lipless crankbaits, aka Rattletraps in your tackle box. I believe they get numbers of bites right up there with the very best baits. Welcome home brother.

That is great Monte and awesome that you have had good luck with your boat and motor. It is a little tough when a person asks about comparing boats that are available now if we throw out boats that are no longer made and 15-20 years old. The 19TRX is now 19'9" and is rated for a 225hp motor. T...

I have never ever known a guy that powered his bass boat with less than max HP rating be satisfied. My TR19 is rated for 175 and in year 2000 Mercury did not make a 175 Optimax, only 150 and 200+ This forced me to go with a 175 Evinrude Ficht. I had an extended warranty and had some problem(can't ev...

Bass Cat's are built like a tank and look bad ***. What's not to like? Even though I love my Triton, I'm not sure the price point for the Triton and Bass Cat are equal to Nitro? I'm a huge fan of Boatmasters, they have been servicing my boats for 25 years.

I guess deep cranking can be relative to the body of water. Both the Delta and Clearlake are relatively shallow and on the Delta weeds tend to force one to crank shallower. I'm strictly a Delta fisherman and mostly a cranker. I can tell you that whatever works at the Delta works at Clearlake. Reds a...

I have witnessed sea lions eating on the Delta twice, both times they were eating carp. I always figured they will eat anything they can catch. There seems to be a resident sea lion or two on Empire Cut and Tiki Lagun because I see them often there.
