Re: Opinions on delta tides...

Ive always had more confidence fishing the high tide. I really like an early morning high tide best. I have the least confidence with a mid day low tide. Same here, it's much easier to crank a high tide. Back in the day when there were some good solid weedlines I would crank the outside of the weed...

Re: Any of you run your battery chargers NOT "on board"

Thanks for the battery explanation, Rod. My boat is so bare bones I didn't understand the need for a big cranking battery, now I do! When it comes to regular old acid batteries, my favorite has always been American brand. They are made over in Hayward and sold at Boatmasters in Livermore.

I use kvd river to sea and mostly lucky craft. Square Bill Questions

Hey folks, if you've been reading some of my posts you know I love to crank the Delta. One of my go to baits is the Luhr Jensen Speedtrap. However, there are times and tides I can't fish this bait. This spring I have tried both the KVD and the Bagley square bills and have found that both of them are...

My advice is to join a bass club as a non boater and don't think of it as so much as being an official tournament fisherman. Instead, think of it as surrounding yourself with like minded people. Oh sure there are tournaments, but they are low cost, low pressure events. You can learn a ton about the ...

as a dedicated cranker I hold the rod at the angle that allows me to fish over the top of the weeds on the Delta. I love the Speedtrap and often hold my rod tip high so I can still fish the bait instead of going to a more shallow running crankbait that I have less confidence in.
