Re: Lowrance issues a statement regarding Linda Colt
Man you said it right about giving the customer the runaround. I bought not one but two HDS-8's. Sent in for the rebate. I provided all the documentation required. Got letters back saying I didn't qualify. WTF? Like you said, make it hard on the customer. So now I'm out $100.00 bucks for each unit t...

Re: Lowrance LSS-1
I have a Ranger 519 and installed it myself. Very easy to do. I had to put the LSS1 Box under the dash against the firewall since I had a fuse box that was located on the wall in the rod box. I bracket mounted the transducer on the transom just below the jackplate, and ran the wire up along my temp ...

Chuck, You may or maynot be able to feed the cable throug thetransom drain. I found out the hard way, when I was locking my boat down for Lake Casitas. They wanted us to run the cable down through the drain hole. The cable would only go half way. My understanding that there is a Y that prevents you ...

This is very intersting! I went to the lake as well on Friday. The ranger clipped my tag took my info down, and then away I went fishing. When I left the lake, same ranger came out and tagged my boat. He never said anything about re-routing the cable. I had it wrapped beween the jackplate, trailer a...

I just installed an HDS-8 on the console of my 03 Ranger 519 with a Ram mount and a shoot thru hull transducer. Kept my Humminbird 797 side imaging in the dash. No conflicts when the two are running simultaniously. Waiting for the other HDS-8 to arrive so I can install that on the bow. Spent Tues le...

Outstanding!
Hopefully this will lead the way to CMWD (Casitas) turning their vote around.

It appears that they are at least taking a step in the right direction to work with the boaters, unlike the CMWD board. I don't like the idea of quarantineing a boat for 14 days at the lake. That can get a little expensinve. The wash is a good idea. I'm in!

They are doing inspections there as well. Most of the lake lice have those wake boats. They have ballast in them Most will probably not pass due to the water in their ballast Ha! Ha! I saw only only one on Sunday.

Re: 2 GPS units:will the front unit talk to the back unit? H
Big Ed, Yes! If you have the two units linked, they will share way points. They use on antenna. When you set a way point on one unit the information is sent to the data link and the sesond unit picks it up. You can get more info on how this works, by going to the Humminbird web site. The Lowrance we...
