Dawn dish soap. Just remember there will always be a little bit of residue left even after you rinse it really good so I try to make sure I have one or two days on the water with the Livewell open to be safe before I start putting fish in.

South Delta can be excellent especially at certain times of the year. Be careful when exploring though, because there’s some sandbars and submerged logs that you will definitely hit if you don’t know where they are. I’ve hit the sandbar at four corners a number of times over the years . If you have ...

I like it because it protects the fish from touching carpet. Besides, most tournaments measure 13” minimum so the DFG 12” minimum is a none issue…. Unless you fish slot limit lakes - I rarely do

Re: Rain Suits that dont wet out!?

Try a DWR treatment like Revivex or Nikwax first, those are designed to keep your suit breathable... may or may not work well but worth a shot. If those don't work you could also try a silicon based spray like Sno-Seal Extreme, Scotchgaurd, or Kiwi which will do a great job of making your suit water...

Re: Rain Suits that dont wet out!?

Cabelas Guide Wear is great. I'm on my second set and would recommend them. But here's the real deal, no rainsuit made with Gortex (or similar breathable material) is truly waterproof. It's the Durable Water Repellant (DWR) coating on the material that keeps water out and the DWR will eventually wea...

I have both a Fourtrex and an Ultrex... An Ultrex (or Ghost, Force etc with spot lock) will be better and make it easier to focus on fishing (not boat control) for most people the majority of the time on most bodies of water. Necessary, no. A big improvement, yes. On the other hand, a Fourtrex does ...

Seems like getting a quality used boat with warranty might be the best way to go. Yes it is. The downside to buying used is most manufacturers reduce lifetime hull warranties down to 10 years to the second buyer (usually not an issue but you never know) and if you're fishing pro events many only of...
