After doing some soul searching I have decided to keep my 2018 boat instead of buying a new one. That said I want to retrofit the boat with an electronics upgrade. Does not Fish & Game get the majority of thier funding from the sales of hunting and fishing license fees?
I ask because the article states the funding for this fish netting project comes from them.
Not only is this ironic but to me it seems to violate the public trust.

OK, so 5’ Rumsey is the level that you can access the lake to its full potential, that is “exactly” what I wanted to know.
As I post his we are at 3’ Rumsey so I think 5’ is not out of the question.
Thank You.

What is the Optimal Clear Lake Rumsey
Like all of us here in California I am following all the lakes rising and in general it's a good thing. I suppose it would be less destructive if we did not get all our rain at once. Having said that and if you understand the Rumsey system, what would you consider "optimal" for Rum...

Thanks drdetroit3. My home lake (Clear Lake) is fishing tough and on average I am only catching 2 fish with a full day on the water so I thought I would try my luck elsewhere. Its about time CDFW did this, they should do this at most lakes in CA. The number of tourneys at all lakes is out of control. Asking the Kayak Community just in case
Just in case you have a Kayak you are thinking of selling. I know they often get listed for sale elsewhere and want to be contacted if you are considering a sale. I would be a first time Yak buyer, my conventional bass rig has difficulty launching with the drought impacted lakes we have.
