Re: TM battery set ups
I agree with you using the start battery as your third trolling battery and being OK as long as you run the outboard during the day. As far as your saying 98% of all anglers can do this would be a really high number that I would not come close to agreeing with. Using 31's are alot heavier and cost t...

Re: Switching Batteries, a control?
You can hook 100 batteries together and still be at 12volts as long as they are hooked up positive to postive and negative to negative. You will get twice the run time and can still charge them the same as you do the one, It will take a little longer but if you are not fishing everyday it won't matt...

You could just hook them together and get twice the use time that way without a switch. Just hook them up positive to positive and negative to negative and your done.

If the boat already has 6awg wire then just use two of them and jumper at the batteries and make sure you use a 6amp breaker and you will be fine.

As kb said you can go by another charger or if you have a regular charger in the garage for your vehicles you can use it on the boat starting battery just as well.

If you have a regular battery charger in the garage you can leave the onboard hooked to the trolling batteries and use the regular one on the start battery and that would work fine. You can just use a two way plug and let them run at the same time.

The Stayncharge weighs just over 1LB yes 1LB only and we do not generate power we just move the already generated power of the outboard or the vehicle and we let the batteries take what they want.
