Re: Thanks to all that fished 167 Boats at Oroville

I haven't been to a tournament like that since the nineties. And I saw a lot of guys who used to fish back then. It was like old home week. I love big tournaments! What a blast! Gary is bringing back the good old days. Thanks Gary. We will be at Shasta!

Bass fishing tackle at almanor

The Lake Almanor Fly Fishing Company is moving and expanding. They will be carrying bass tackle this year. The selections will be limited at first. But up till now none was available at all in the town of Chester. The new location is what used to be Marias Mexican restaurant and bar. It's located at...

Re: Kyle Clement Memorial Fund Established

It sounds like a fine idea to me. Unfortunatley while I have participated in hundreds of tournaments I don't know anything about putting one on. If we could get some help in this area it could help the family quite a bit. Maybe someone will step up. Of course I will offer help in any way I can.

A message from the Clement family

Pat and his family have asked that I respond to all of the outpouring of sympathy here on the forum on their behalf. Unbelievably (although typical of this family) They are worried about how everyone else feels. Pat is in a quandry because in his words "I'm not an internet guy." Pat, Trina, Cliff an...

Re: We've Lost a Friend In Kyle Clements!

I just left Pat"s house. Bill Swearengin and I are old friends of his and we went to offer support. Pat, Trina, Cliff, and Jamie are all doing extremly well considering the circumstances. As promised Bill brought them a print out of all of the well wishers here on the forum. It is far to painful for...

IMHO "Spoonplugging" by William "Buck" Perry is the best book ever written on Bass Fishing.

Oroville guides / watch out!

Just a heads up for guides using Lake Oroville. DPR now requires that you obtain a permit to guide on the lake. Cost is $75.00 per year. Two guys (that I know of) were cited this week. It's a hefty fine!
