Re: FLW College National Championship (Need Help)

Congrats on qualifying. I've never done anything similar, as my folks told me to pound sand when I said I wanted to stop going to school and try and make a living fishing as an 18 year old. That being said--the best way to raise money is to stop looking for a handout, and getting to work. Get a job,...

Re: Buying bass boat out of Ca. to bring into Ca.?

I bought my boat in Alabama, and because they don't require you to register boats there, it was a pain in the rear. 3 trips to DMV, different answers, sending me on different wild goose chases. Finally had a friend who works with the DMV handle it all, and she had to spend some time with it. They ha...

Sounds like the kid needs to mow another lawn or two and stop looking for handouts. "Poor kid" can't afford a 100 plus dollar swimbait, how terrible. Pardon me for my lack of sympathy.

I tow with a Silverado with almost 200k miles, but borrowed my brother's 2016 f150 for a week earlier this year, with the 3.5l EB and that thing tows like a dream. I've towed with a dirtymax, denali diesel, f250 and Tundra, and that turbo'd f150 was probably the nicest tow vehicle I've ever driven. ...

Fishermen have all sorts of money, just like duck hunters...and duck hunting has big advocacy groups like Ducks Unlimited/CA Waterfowl. Re: Clearlake Fish Die Off --- New Approach

These are the same people who wanted to end bass fishing and the existence of bass for good on this lake. How we could ever "team up" with them over a die off that is over and happens almost annually with varying degrees of seriousness, is beyond me. A guide up there told me "the enem...

Ah yes, John Mark Warren--the modern day Tiger Woods of bass fishing. Three days ago a bass tracker with an almost inoperable trailer due to rust holes and major degradation was sold here on Westernbass for a final price of about $2,000. A few of the environmental groups(Sierra Club, Friends of the Feather) tried to get funding in the early 2000's to make sure that the structure built in the 60's was more fortified, and at least further tested to handle something like we're dealing with, today. Find the clearer water. Very tough to get bit (for me at least) in mud, and with this coming storm clarity should ...
