They are ok hooks, but they have such a thick diameter, I never saw the reason for the $$$$$. I am a Gamakatsu guy through and through, and the Trokars had a lot of hype, but I personally believe they are not worth the price.

I have yet to play with them, but I have talked to some of the reps who were at ICAST when they came out, and they seemed to like them. I was saddened when Skeet left Lamiglas, but I just got a hold of the new Excel series and it feels good. Can't wait to try out a Skeet stick.

I have heard words of it being a nice rode, almost every manufacturer has come out with something new. After Reese and Lamiglas split ways, Lamiglas is now out with the new Excel rods, which most of the ICAST stuff is on tackletour.

The new Navionics 2.2 Iphone app is out and just won the NMMA Innovation Award. I have an HTC Touch Pro and they are working on getting it ready for other "Smart Phones".

I have gotten a chance to play around with the Iphone Navionics, and it is pretty sweet.

I do not have much background on WON tournamants, but I can say I have been quite impressed with some other western regional circuits. NWBASS up here in WA has had record turn outs and record payouts even with the terrible economy.

The Columbia river is a great fishery and the problem I have heard for right now is that there are more non-boaters than Pro's, so if you are considering it, give it a shot as it is a good opportunity on a good body of water.

I have come to like the Phenix Vibrator Jigs, the ones Hite used to win back-to-back tournaments. Paired with a Swimsenko, it is hard to beat.

Lamiglas XC 704J with a slow ratio baitcaster. I have found my favorite chatterbait has been the Phenix one that Brett Hite has been using.

I find that the tear drop shaped weights work the best for me. They come through rocks very well, and if they have a high quality line clip like the Quickdrops dropshot weights, it really does reduce line twist.

You can usually go to your local dealer and they will ship it back to Lamiglas for a small shipping fee (Cheaper than shipping it yourself). For the broken guide, it is just faster and probably cheaper to find your local custom rod builder and have them put a new eyelet on for you.

Try the Yamamoto Flappin Hog II, its a pretty subtle, but bulky trailer.

Another would have to be the Chigger Craw. When on a FB head, it's pretty subtle.
