Re: Shady deal at Oroville????
My guess is power generation at the Hyatt facility. http://www.lakeoroville.water.ca.gov/about/stats/hyatt.cfm DWR is only allocating 15% of the requests from the State Contractors this year. That will not increase unless there are some March and April miracles. They are due to check the snow packs ...

I posted an answer to a forum question about the lake level at Lake Castaic, part of the State Water Project. My answer was based on what might be the case next year according to DWR. I certainly didn't ask for a Director of this forum to step in with smug and patronizing remarks. Since we are there...

Is the Pittsburg facility the Mirant power plant? That plant is presently killing a large number of Delta Smelt. Maybe they are considering a desalination plant as mitigation. I have not heard anything about a desalination plant up there. The Delta ecosystem/water system is much more complex than mo...

Yes, I agree, but to shut down the pumps that transport water to protect fish that are endangered by so many other sources of depradation is shortsighted. Hydrologic conditions in Northern California watersheds has always been the major consideration when DWR allocates State and Federal Contract wat...

If the lake you are talking about is on the State Project system, the water district is only getting 35% of it's water from the Delta this year. Blame the drought and a judge who ruled against the water districts and in favor of the Delta Smelt. If the drought continues, the district could only get ...

How often do you review the stated value of your boat? As we all know, boats significantly loose their value over several years. If you don't adjust that value on your insurance contract you are wasting premium $$$$ on the physical damage coverages.

Strange John Beuttler doesn't mention Bacher's previous editorials over the past 6 or 7 years citing salmon kills on the American and Feather rivers as well as Butte Creek to mention a few.
