Mike, You are overthinking this one buddy. If you catch a fish and it dies you must weigh the fish as part of your session weight. You CAN NOT CULL A DEAD FISH. So in your scenario if you gut hook a 2lber and you know you will want to cull that fish and not sure if its going to make it in the livewe...

Yup mmmHMMM 3/4oz Hula in cinamon purple or green pumkin on the outside break lines in 30' to the bank has brought home some great fish for me when I fished in SoCal. Not a lot of guys down there thrown the big ole jigs lookin for that deep water reaction bite either.

What wasnt told in this story is that the guy fed a family of 20 some small mouth bass. Sorry John this fish is filleted, now everyone go back out to the Delta, Pardee is too expensive and far to fish...... The difference is a 5" viewable vs 7" viewable screen, at least that was the deciding factor for me.

You can purchase them from Bob Higgins at the Limit Out in Clear Lake Oaks. Use circle hooks through the nose. I am sure Bob will show you how to properly rig them.
