It is 5 MPH only if you are within 200 feet of shore. That is what the sign says in very small print. Everyone thinks it is 5 all over, but it is not. I would not have noticed if a ranger did not tell me.

Berkley Series One's are the best rods I have ever used for the price. You can get them for $69 to $89 depending on where you shop and they are extremely light and sensitive. HOWEVER ... Allow at least 25-30 minutes if towing a boat. It's a slow road. If the weather is bad, I'd allow 45 minutes. That road has many slides on it in the rain.

Pretty tough for us to find anything of any size. I did not stick around for awards, but dock-talk was that it took 14 and change won it. Last I heard I think Dave Rush had 3rd with 11 and change. I have T-Mobile and it is terrible up there. Don't go with T-Mobile. I have been most impressed with Cingular. I fished with a friend that has it and he was able to take many calls in the main lake area last weekend.
