Fishing Oroville Lake 05/02/2018

Got an early launch at 5.50 am, stopped fishing right at 9:50 am as the breeze began to pick up. Windy city on the water today, calmed about 9am for about an hour, then back breezy at 10 am. Water 63.8 as a high, and fish willing to bite. Picked up 28 spots, 3-4 dinks 10-11", but managed to get...

Fishing Oroville Lake 04/25/2018

Launched at Lime Saddle, about 6:20 am, stopped fishing right at 10 am. Sure is nice launching now that the ramp owners clean wood on a regular basis. No issues now day, nothing like when they used to just let it stack up. Decent bite today, not quite killer bite but darn good. Picked up 31 fish tod...

Got launched at Lime Saddle about 6:20 am, stopped fishing about right at 10 am. Damn, windy city this am, hate those days as my small boat moves like a kite in the winds. Winds tapered off about 9 am or so. Bite picked up a tad, but water still cool, 56.6 to 57.8 degrees in my travels. Even though ...

Guess the dock owner decided to do his part and keep the ramp a tad safer then in the pa...

Re: Fishing Oroville Lake 03/29/2018

Launching tends not to be the issue, find a slot where less large wood, and launch, it will push the wood back and you'll be fine, just go slow and no prop issues. If the winds don't change directions, the wood stays on the ramp, then sometimes blows out to mid bay area, and clean ramp to haul the b...

We need rains like last year to get the lake back to a decent level like in first of march 2017. Sad to see it so low these days due to spillway mess up. We may never see it as high (902 feet) as this again! Lime Saddle 3/1/2017

I've been trying to get on the lake again, between rains, but not good timing lately. Lake level 707. something, getting super close to having Lime saddle open, 5 foot about the bottom of the ramp. Expecting rains next week, maybe one day possible to fish, if not the week after if all goes well.
