From what I was told (rumor), the lake is hoping to open in March. That would be a huge relief to many of us. I never thought that I would say it but I really miss that lake. At least I knew where to go to catch a couple in the winter months.

Lake is full of man made fishing habitat IE fish cages. They are located throughout the lake and in some of the backwater ponds in the river. Some are shallow and some are out in 20-30 feet. The water at Havasu is very clear and it will be very easy to see them.

I just spent a couple of days out on Lake Shasta sonar logging. The lake is much lower than I have ever seen it and adjusting the contours on my Lowrance made it easier to see what was under the water. You are recording the depths and data in your trails and sonar. This data is used to update the contours for the lake.
