Nor-Cal Bass Pro-Am Awesome Memories.
Back in December of 1986, I was reading the Modesto Bee Sports Hunting and Fishing page written by Ron Willson. Ron had said if you want to come fish with some of the best fishermen come to New Melones and sign up for a Pro-Am tournament with Nor-Cal Bass. After deep discussion with my wife and savi...

No waves over the bow of my boat, I was in a Champion. Saw many boats going real slow riding those waves on the way in around 1:30 PM. Ran straight into the waves then quartered to get accross to the other side. Ride was awesome if you like rough water. You have to love a Champion's ride. I had a bl...

This sounds like a great idea Steve. I'm sure you would have several boats showing up since there is really no "bass Clubs" around this area. A meeting is also a great idea. Jack Hamlin or Ed Dicky would have phone numbers of the Merced bass club people. I might even have Jack's phone numb...

Try the Berserkbaits foot ball jig. They have many proven colors plus they are hand tied in the USA. Check out their web site @ www.berserkbaits.com I really like the 3/4 oz jigs and the 1/2 oz jigs. I've found that the fish will react to the 3/4 oz jig with crushing reaction bite because it moves m...

Re: What do you do if you aerator doesnt work
With most boats you can open your live well valve then start your big motor, place motor in reverse then throttle up some. This will push water into your live well with the motor. This will also help fill your live wells up faster if needed.

Are you finding this year fishing tougher?
I have found this year fishing to be below normal for size and numbers from years past.
Any ideas of as why? Drought? Weird spring? Lakes dropping to fast during the fall causing fish to suspend? Lack of bait fish? Fish kill because of water draw down?
What's your .50 cents?

Turn your sensitivity down to around 70%-80% this might help. Make sure only one unit is on.
All else fails turn both units off and stick your 8' flippin rod into the water and if you feel the bottom you will know how deep it is.

Since 100% no longer has a resonable cost pro team i'm thinking about fishing a Delta and or possibly a Mother lode circuit.
The reason I ask is because I would like to find the circuit that will be supporting the most boats as 100% did last few years did.
