Camanche
Does anyone know if Camanche is open? I was going to chase some spots tomorrow and didn’t want to drive out there if it’s close due to government shutdown.

Drop shot questions
I have question about drop shot weights. Which style weight (tear drop, cylinder, etc.) do you use for the different bottoms (rock, sand/mud, grass). Thanks for the help

Re: Shot at while Fishing!!
Unfortunately, it happens fairly often on the delta. It’s happened to me a handful of times, the same kind of deal, I don’t think I was the target but I could here the bullets and see the impact on the water/bank. It’s a scary feeling to not be able to protect yourself if needed. I didn’t know the l...

Re: Which Three Casting Rods?
I remember the thread, the rod you went with was a med/heavy that I would use for a light jig/Texas rig rod. I would get a spinning rod to throw drop shot/light Shakey Heads. The last rod I would get is a crankbait rod med/med heavy for crankbaits and treble hook top waters.

I think you will get a million different responses with everyone’s brand prefences. I would look at Shimano Zodias line of rods they are very versatile. They come in at about 199 bucks. I would recommend Lews reels. They make a ton of models at all different price points. I’ve used the cheaper ones ...

I went through my credit union where I bank at. I think the challenge you will have is they look at the boats value to loan ratio, because they will have the title till it’s paid just like an auto loan. If there’s no boat to run the numbers on then they don’t know if approved. When I did my loan I g...

I agree, get a couple S wavers 168’s. Lite trout and party crashes are my favorite colors. Glide baits can get very expensive, S wavers are on the cheaper side of the category and are great baits!
