I add Sta-Bil Ethanol formula to my fuel, 1oz per 10 gallons. I have also heard a lot of folks recommend adding Seafoam to control/remove carbon build-up. I imagine these are very similar to the additives recommended by Norcalracer

Where can I find a schedule of Lowrance seminars at the ISE show? Mainly interested in Saturday...hope to pick up some good tips. (I'm running Elite-5's on my boat, but hoping that some of the HDS stuff is applicable too...)

Just read in a post on Facebook by WON Bass that Eric Elshere (Elfish16) lost his battle with cancer. Although I didn't know Eric personally, I gained a wealth of knowledge from his posts here on Western Bass. He will be missed. RIP

Four weeks ago (Oct 24) Putah Creek had one concrete lane and two docks in the water. The lake level seems to be holding fairly steady, so you should still be OK

Well, after further research, it turns out that I was (mostly) wrong...there are maps for most of the lakes I am interested in, along with links to lake levels. Thanks for everyone's input. I think that eventually I will spring for the 796 SBMT for wake/glide/swim baits, but for now I will use my Savvy 735C that I was using as my jig rod. I can use my 766Flip for jigs as well as flipping. As far as a topwater (Spook) rod, I think I see a 706CB in my future..
