I've never heard that there were bass in Stampede. If there are, its a secret that nobody talks about. Its a trout and kokanee lake.

I second what Phil said. THE WOOD IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN! I couldn't even get up on plane yesterday afternoon. With that said, the fish are biting pretty much everywhere. Fish your confidence baits and you will do fine.

It's family owned and they live on site. Never had an issue. My only advice is no matter how tempting it is, don't park under a tree. The birds will poop all over your truck.

There was another post from Clearlakeoutdoors that says that the entire lake is closed to motor boats because some people couldn't play by the rules.
