Re: new jig rod ideas
Don't know if you can find the perfect rod to do both. For dragging footballs I use the Tackle Warehouse Football jig rod (753). It's more like a 4 power than a 3. I also use the 723 Endurance for up to 1/2oz footballs. The 734c makes a nice football jig rod. If you want to pitch jigs also a 764c or...

That stuff does gum them up pretty bad. Megastrike isn't as bad. Try putting the attractant just on your trailer and don't bother rubbing it into your skirt. The fish won't care. You can buy a cheap skirt making tool and some silicone material and make you own skirts when you wear them out or cut th...

The best topwater bait for me out there this summer has been a popper. Not a frog, not a spook, not a waker, a popper. Got a nine on it at my first spot yesterday morniing. They were eating a lipless pretty good later in the day as well as a Norman Little N. The rest of the time I resort to finesse....

Didn't find anything on the Lowrance forum here about this unit so I thought I would try here. I've given up on keeping the pinpoint going on my bow so I'm looking for a replacement. I don't care about gps or all that structure scan stuff up on the bow. I have gps on the console so I would just like...

I've been taking my boys to the delta and letting them fish for the bluegill. Dropshot with a tiny hook and waxworms for bait. They catch tons and it's easy for them. We killed em inside of St.Francis yacht club. Might be a little better option for a 4yr old. Hope he gets a bunch wherever you go. MT

It's different every year. I've had off the hook fishing in the fall in previous years at Melones and McClure but never two years in a row for some reason. Really? Those rods are garbage compared to the other brand you mentioned and many others. Heavy, poorly constructed, cheap components, shabby wind job, heavy, poorly balanced, heavy, etc, etc, Glad you like it though.

Just white dude. :) Keep it simple. If they aren't chasin then just fish a darthead or dropshot like the guys suggested. Look for mudlines created by wind or boats on the points and fish your worm right in em. The spots love to gang up under the mud. It actually provides shade for them. You'll do go...
