What's the "widow maker" on the delta? They are referring to large logs or stumps that are suspended just under the surface, when you hit them it is all bad, hence the term "Widow maker", typically this time of year and especially this year with the huge flushing rains everythin...

Russo's if your looking to camp or rv, other than that you may want to give b&w a shot, they have slips with power as well as cabins right on the water.

Also check all external parts on a regular basis no matter how new the boat is! Motor vibration, rough water and trailer time on the roads have a tendency to loosen things, a quick once over every few trips could have prevented this, luckily they were wearing their PFD's and kill switch attached.

A quick and simple fix is smash a split shot and secure it with a clear two part epoxy like the Gorilla glue or Devcon brand, works great been doing it for years.

I was out the weekend before last and what I found was a good majority of the fish were post spawn, there are still some areas where there are all three phases going on but not as prevalent as everyone wants it to be, the most consistent bite I found was drop shotting the outside weed lines in 6-10'...

Or just drive a little further up the highway and stay at B&W, keep tthe boat rite outside the room on the water and avoid Stockton all together, no traffic to deal with just hop in and go fishing.

The host hotel is the best in Oroville, ken is absolutely correct about being able to back the boat up to your room.they recently installed new outlets under the overhang and eyehooks for cords to be strung over head vs across the sidewalk.
