Re: Why so little interest? CAST
Guys, This is the most worthwhile event involving fishing that you WILL EVER DO for someone else. I have done this 3 years in a row in Washington, and it is so unbelieveable to see the smiles on those kids faces. It is a breeze, the helper or parent does 90% of the work. If the kids catch a fish, th...

Re: Anybody notice who is leading the California team
Washington finally upseated California, led by Ron Hobbs. Here is the final story, with McFarland from Idaho taking top honors:

Re: Anybody notice who is leading the California team
I hope that Ron Hobbs is going to win the event. He is fishing the event today with the 3rd place angler Neil Russel. I hope that Ron keeps up the pace with the baits that he is fishing, and takes the whole thing. It will be tough for any Washington Anglers to come 5# from behind and overtake him, s...

I put the top of the line Carrier furnace in, and it is so nice. A lot of brands have the high end equipment, and the variable speed fan is great. Ramps up slowly, no duct banging. Very sweet unit. Of course mine is 6 years old now, but runs great! Very efficient and quiet. Undersized ductwork will ...

Re: non-fishing, residential HVAC questions
Well,
I too have been in the HVAC business, but for over 20 years. I do recommend Carrier. That is what I put in my own house. I have worked on all brands. I do not recommend Lennox or Rheem.
You will find that the coil sizes will increase with the higher SEER rating. Just my 2 cents.....

Re: CAST 4 kids needs Boats
Hey guys, can't say enough about the CAST for Kids event. If there was ever a project to get involved with, this has been the most beneficial day I have ever spent volunteering for anything. It is a lot of fun, and you can see the joy in these kids eyes when they catch a fish. I am at the event in W...

Re: How To Retrieve A Small Texas Rigged Paddle Tail Swim Ba
We have been using this on these small Panic Minnow swimbaits for a year up here for smallmouth. Pretty productive. The weighted Falcon hook keeps them running real straight, and you can throw it and swim it thru some heavy cover. Need to be sure to glue the baits on though, because they are Very so...

Great site. Have nothing but good experience with them. I have read that some of the vendors were late (chatterbait) when they were overwhelmed with the orders last year.

Re: Bad News...and More Bad News...
Just got back from El Salto... Here is the report: Caught 44-60 fish each day for our boat. Biggest fish was over 8#, and 2nd was over 5#. Big Fish caught on a chatterbait with a Panic Miinow trailer. 2nd Big fish was caught on a Big Tube. About 70% of the rest of the fish 1-3.5# were all caught on ...

Re: EL SALTO UPDATE ..( KIND OF LONG)
Bob,
It was great to talk to you about El Salto. Thanks for all of the information. Kinda bums me out, but at least the Cervasa will be cold. I am sure we will try something different to entice the big females to bite. Hopefully they were just full of the Tilapia when you were there. We'll see.

I meant about writing an aricle explaining how to go down there without a guide, and stay in a hotel type of thing, that is all. I have stayed there, and it is very nice place, but a little too much $$$$

I might not mention about writing the article until you get back. I am sure that Mr Chapman Sr. or Jr. (Anglers Inn Owners)would not be real happy about seeing that article. Hope you guys have a good time.... I am going to be shopping this next week for some watermellon / red flake plastics, and som...

Re: Mexican Bass Help Please
Marc,
I am hoping to try out some new baits down there that the big bass have not seen yet. I may even bring a portable fishfinder to mount on the boat. A lot to carry, but it will be worth it.

Re: Mexican Bass Help Please
Marc. You are so lucky to be pulling a "real" boat down there. We will be going the week of January 31st to the 5th. I am so looking forward again to fishing the lake. I was down there 5 or 6 years ago, and it was a lot of fun. I "only" caught 152 bass those 3 days, and my partne...

Panic Minnow Review
Any feedback on the Panic Minnows? Great looking dropshot bait, but was wondering if anybody has seen them or used them.
