Otters in the Delta?
I found a box of old fishing photos from back in the 80s. Lots of pics of a much younger and thinner group of bassfishing friends. Got me to thinking about the Delta back then; back when there were three small islands in the middle of Holland Cut just north of Holland-Riverside Marina that are...

Hipster,
What the heck would you know about that? You're down in Arizona and you are getting old so there isn't much chance I'm going to take any advice from an old coot like you.
Miss you Dude. When you coming up to fish the Delta? I have a seat open for you.

I think it changed the tide in Sand Mound Slough the last time I was fishing there. When it should have been draining into Rock it was actually going the other way; draining from Rock into Sand Mound.

This is my favorite knot, but as the vision starts to go, this one is tougher to tie; too hard to get the tag end through that very small hole.
Using the Berkley knot a bit more these days.

Re: Color Theories for Delta Froggin'
Why do they bother painting something on the top side of a frog bait? The fish can't see the top of the frog. Is all that fancy painting to catch fishermen? In reality, it doesn't matter what the top of the frog looks like, it only matters what the bottom looks like. But fishermen want a fancy paint...

Re: Underwater Viewpoint: Fluorocarbon vs. Braid for Heavy Cover in Clear Water
What this video shows is that humans can see braided line underwater better than they can see Fluorocarbon. Doesn't mean the bass see it the same way. Largemouth bass have terrible vision. Their eyes are placed so that depth-perception is nearly impossible. Think about all the baits that you can cat...

I want to know how he disposes of the 'old' hooks?
I don't like throwing them in the trash, as is; they are dangerous.

I like the 2 minute penalties for letting the fish hit the boat deck or trapping it against your body. Promotes the 'we care for the fish' idea. A sport requires two things: it has to have a 'ball' and it has to involve 'running'. The lone exception is Hockey, where the 'ball' requirement is covered by the 'puck' and the 'running' is covered by the fast skating. - Fishing, not a sport. No ball. No running.
