Swim bait fisherman should have a good winter this year with as much water in Eastman with a few trout plants ahead it will wake the big fish up in mid dec thru feb.

WRB I've caught 12 bass at 10lbs and above with 2 going 12lbs both 12.5 and 12.9 all Jig fishing..

Big lake kicking out strip bass to 10lb my son was there sunday in basult bay in 130 feet on cut bait they caught a bunch of fish. The were 4 people on the big v bottom boat. I like the forebay from Sept thru Nov. I use Gitzits and Big Blade baits Rattletraps in the forebay.

I don't bundle up in the winter to fish never have.But then again I'm not old and clumsy like most on this post and i don't plan on falling out of my boat any time soon. Leave the Irish coffee at home you'll be safe.

You and your fishing buddy should go out one of you should put all your winter gear on now before winter hit and the PFD of your choice jump off in the water and test it if you sink and your body go under then you know it doesn't work then there someone there that fish the out. That's pretty simple.

Recreating jigs from the past for me not a problem. One of my favorites were Mop Jigs I built back in the late 70s early 80s
1/2 oz & 3/4 Arkie head & Football head jigs with 7" to 8" skirts and using Uncle Josh big daddy pork aka rabbit ears.
