Take the delta for example! There is a tourney almost every weekennd somewhere on the delta at present time. Now go back to the time when there were 100-120 boats per tourney! There was not half the tournaments that there is now not to mention the numerous orgs. Bottom line is more choices less comp...

Re: Here's my take on it
I agree. If people are worried about others having more time to practice then dont compete. I try to pre-fish every tourney I commit to. If im not mistaken most of the team tourneys are labeled pro-teams? Bottom line is I have confidence in my fishing ability otherwise I would not lay down the $$. I...

I agree that bass has made some harsh decisions when it comes to the western anglers, but on the other hand I have always wanted to fish the national tour so if and when bass/espn decides to come back out west I am all in regardless of entry simply because I enjoy fishing at that level. And I always carry an extra switch for the trollin motor, pull ropes and pins then if your fishin a tourny or just out fun fishin you can make a quick repair and be on your way. Each of the three items are not that expensive so it pays to just have them on hand versus pullin your boat out of the wat...

The place you mention is actually RHODE ISLAND which is a state refuge. Little mandeville is actually north of rhode island and enter only if you are willing to risk damage to your boat there are rocks just under the surface at most of the openings and depending on the tide it can hurt.
