Kopper, its unfortunate that you no longer fish tourny's because I think you get it.. Maybe try to blow off the negatives and focus on what you enjoy about tournys as there are still many great folks still out there.
Your post was spot on from 1-5 imho.

Great job to all of the people who ran this tournament. I have never seen such a large tournament run so well. Everything was smooth from registration to weight in to awards. Randy, thanks for your response. I agree these tournaments are for fun. IMHO all tournaments should be fun but since we are all not rich money should be a consideration as well. I am not convinced that most of the anglers out there really understand how much money they are giving away which is why I...

If you're ASSuming $17K profit I can guarantee you are wrong. Any organization has COST associated with putting together and hosting any fishing event. That cost is included in the percent they take that you want to call profit. Its not all profit. Stop bitching and fish. If you don't want to fish ...

My issue with Yamamoto, Snag proof and other similar tournys
While these tournaments can be very fun and certainly a single or maybe 2 very good anglers out of many can make a nice profit from these tournies; the vast majority have no shot at making money much less then breaking even and I am only talking tourny fee's. Why do all that fish these types of Swag...

Some owners did something similar at Rivers end. When they did I would either cut the rope or remove it where it was connected to the doc. I would not say it is as easy as folks are making it out to be. You still need skill to throw a a-rig. That being said I happily signed the petition as I agree 1 line 1 lure for tourny's.

I think any brand named reel over $100 would do the job. When punching I only care about a 7.1 gear ratio or above so I can get that fish quick or let me make a few more punches getting the bait in faster. Just my opinion as I have many varities of reels with vast price differences and I trust any o...

I have a bunch of reels that need to be serviced. These include ABU's and shimano's. Does anyone have a suggestion as to who services both reel types in the bay area as I am looking for a quick turn around as well.

If there is anyone to blame here on the Delta for late blast offs, it's the anglers themselves, as it's common practice for a number of the contestants to show up at the last possible moment. This has been an age old practice by anglers here for all Delta team events. Personally, I don't see either...

I definately agree with Darrin and Bassmeout regarding Sponsors. The orgs really need to hunker down and make it happen. The first ORG to successfully do this will either force the other orgs to close or to follow suit. The more money or higher percentage of payback will certinally drive more angler...

I love it. It seems to really shine at lakes with little water visability.
