Work on a Ranger
I need to have my 93 Ranger looked at. Having issues with the steering. Should I take it to C&C or have one of the closer and more local shops work on it. Only issue with C&C is that I'm in Concord and getting the boat to C&C would involve more time than anything. I have no problem with ...

Registering for the Frog tourny...best Friday or Sat. morn?
I have to work Friday and was wondering if there is any benefit for having my partner go Friday and do our registration. We've already turned in our app and money but was wondering if going Friday would provide any added benefit than waiting until Sat. morning.
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

Capt. Matt Burton was a coach on one the baseball teams I coached against in my division this year. I know I met him during the games but never officially knew his name. His son played on the team also. God Bless and Keep his Family.

I think Cooch should get a "Man of the Year" type of award for putting this on. What a great opportunity for the kids and for us to help them do something they may not otherwise get to do. Being the 10th year next year maybe we can do something special for him. Thanks again for a great eve...

It was an honor Riplip to fish with Mike. He definately has some great skills. It was also good to listen to him talk about different things you had taught him and watch him put them into practice. In today's Stockton paper. Fish caught July 3rd. Taken to DFG on July 5th. Re: Surge Breaks on Ranger Trailer question
Took this advice and some from another website. Found some corrosion on the hot wire in the plug. Cleaned it, exposed some fresh copper and reassembled it. Backed it in and out of the parking spot a couple of times and it worked so it looks like it's fixed. Thanks for all the info guys.

I have the 5 pin. I did look at the plug from the trailer. The wires look ok but there was a crack in the plug body. Will put a new one on. Interesting that it worked going fishing, thankfully, but stopped working after I started backing up. Also, this system has disc brakes.

Checked the fuses under the hood and all looked good. Haven't had time to look to much further. On my court I have to back my boat and truck down the court in order to put the boat away. One word on broken line. I think more folks should learn to free spool. Everything mechanical fails eventually but when that fish is charging out I feel it's a lot safer to free spool then thumb the line.

Don't know how the crappie bite is there but we always used mini-jigs in red/white or yellow/white.
The bass bite has been off the hook lately. Topwaters, senkos and dropshotting robo worms are working.
Can't go wrong using chicken liver for cats anywhere.

Since when has the Coast Guard done this?
Saw this in an article on the whales around Rio Vista. Have fished a couple of tourny's in the Delta where every boat in it would have been left out. "The Coast Guard does not allow boats sized 25 feet or less to be on the Delta when winds are rougher than 25 knots, but could issue a variance.&...

The Reaper's Tourny is an open tourny held on Lake Berryessa on April 21,2007 by the Fairfield/Suisun Bass Reapers Club. It's a team tourny and some of the funds from the tourny go towards stocking Florida Largemouth in the lake. At least that is what I've been told.
