That was a creme worm. We used to sell them in our tackle shop back in 1973 at Clear Lake. The Iovino worm is as close to the R & R Stroker from the 80's as you can buy now. Robin and Ray Tackett got me my first aoy trophy and those worms are still in my boat  . It's true I still fish one...

It's a Cachuma boat. That means it's never been beat up as the lake is a puddle. I know the owner and dvkwboy's knowledge about the boat wouldn't fill a small soap dish 8) . Casitas water board is ground zero for stupidity above and beyond the call of duty. Their quagga plan failed so badly that they re-opened the gate to " outside " boats within like 90 days after they shut out all outside boats forever. I got around that by selling my Champion and buying a p...

6"-8" in 12 hours Tomorrow ( SoCal )
Just looked at three different projections and they all say 6"-8" inches in 12 hours Wednesday into Thursday but they all have different bullseyes. One had it smack in downtown L.A. another upwards of Simi Valley and the third spot was Ojai. It's one of those rivers in the sky things. The ...
Re: Casitas
Lake is up to 34%. I think it was below 30 before the skies opened up. I've had 12 1/2 inches at my house in the last two weeks. It's going to frick'n snow on the beaches in a few days
Re: Casitas
Some. We had 5 .6 inches last week and another 5 + today so we have the ball rolling. The creeks and river are running and water is being diverted in. It won't be anything like what Cachuma will do but we are primed very well for some good runoff as this continues. Keep your fingers crossed.

For me down here on SoCal reservoirs I go to areas that are not vertical in nature but have only a slight incline. More or less the flats. The farther inland a foot of water goes as opposed to shear. This is just me but I decided back in the 80's that there are just some fish that are always shallow...
