Re: Linda Colt leaves Lowrance, Sad day for all
That was in no way suppose to be an insult. I apoligize if that's how to looked. I know Linda is known for her great customer service and just commented that she should join a company that would match. We need more people like her. Again, no offense intended.

Boat insurance for a little older boat
I may be buying a 2000 skeeter zx185 and am wondering what insurance would be like for that boat. Also, probably a dumb question, but does boat insurance cover the outboard as far as mechanical problems?

Re: What Culling System to buy?
I've been using the x-tools system and like it. For me it has been accurate and efficient. I can weigh a fish 3-4 times and it reads the same everytime. It always seems to weigh similarly to the tournament scale. I really like how it culls for you.

If you read the story, I believe that guy did have his boat strapped down.
Re: Bow graph
I have the 997 on the console as well. I interlink it with a 957 on the bow. It is the exact same graph as the 997, just without side imaging. I am very pleased with this set-up.

My fav was the bobby's perfect frog, but I hate the recent changes they have made. I think the Phat frog will be next for me.

Re: C/R, what is your line set-up
Main line: Flouro because of it's sensativity and better hook-ups
on long casts
Leader: Flouro because of it's low vis quality
I'm not the most avid carolina rigger out there, but that's my preference. I don't have anything against mono, but braid doesn't do well for me around rock.

Re: Gimble Mount -HDS-7
That giant ram has got to be the only way to go. We were using the size just below that with the 997c si and it didn't work so well. It did fine in calm conditions but when we went to mead and got beat up, it swung all over the place.

Story? Yeah. 09' ABA Championship. My tourny partner and I sank his 18 foot skeeter. 6'+ rollers. First time at mead. I hate it already. Screwed me up mentally but i'm still alive. Can't wait to go back. lol That will be in a 20+ footer though. haha

Good stuff. I've only used it once for frogs, but I loved it. It's so smooth you can hardly even hear it through your guides.

Re: What size hook for drop shotting robo's?
I drop shot alot. Maybe too much. lol 90% of the time I rig it weedless with a roboworm rebarb hook (1/0-2/0). The other 10% of the time I nose hook my bait with a #4 Owner mosquito hook.

storing electronics
Where do you guys store your boat electronics? Would it be a bad idea to store them in one of the boats compartments? Is the heat too extreme? If so, what about those of you who have them mounted in dash? Thanks in advance.

hummingbird 900 series
My tourny partener and I are going to upgrade the electronics on our skeeter. We're pretty sold on the 997c si for the console, but we're still deciding on a graph for the front. Our top choices as of now are either the 957c or the 917c. We want a graph as comparable to the 997 as we can, but don't ...
