I have a Citica D and I love it. It is a little bigger and hevier than the Green Curado but it is a bulletproof reel. I can't wait for the Citica E to come out. Thanks Rick, you would think reading the letter of the law would be enough. So I guess we will not shoot any ground squirrels this year. My brother was looking into non-lead rounds for his .17HMR so I guess it is still a possibility.

Rick re-read AB 821 as lead ammo ban only effects center-fire pistol and rifle cartages. Had this discussion with my brother in regards to our annual dove hunt/ground squirrel shoot. Here is the bill:

I love c-rigging Folsom and other spotted bass lakes. I use a Powell 734 with 12-17 pound floro main line and 8-15 pound floro leader depending on cover and water clarity. I also received my 3:16 glue last night. I took that stuff out to the garage and went to work on some of the ripped up soft baits that I had. It works great and I love the applicator as it allows you to be precise with less waste.

Sweet! Its good to see Shimano dropped the price in the Curado compared to the last version. The new Citica looks nice as well. I like my Revo, but I never as much as my old Curados. I guess I will always be a Shimano man.

Its less to do with casting distance and line capacity then strength of of the reel and its component parts. I have and I know others who have burned quality up low profile reels throwing the larger swimbaits. The stress these baits put on your equipment is immense. I agree smaller, lighter swimbait...

I did the research and the only vehicle you will find that will do that is 2001-2006 Dodge Sprinter van. It is the diesel van the Fed-Ex and UPS use. Trying and find a 118 in WB passenger model is hard but they are out there. The have a 5,000 lb towing capacity and will get close to 30 MPG when not ...

We caught a bunch a fish c-rigging the humps and island tops last weekend. Fish are in all three stages of the spawn, pre, post and on beds. We fished in 10-25 feet of water and caught both post spawn and pre spawn fish. It was a little to windy to bed fish but I know some guys were doing it.

I resisted using braid for ever but it is great on top water baits epically waking baits like a spook. One thing I have learned which has helped my hookup ratio is to use a rod with a very soft/fast tip.
