Line Stretch& Tackle Tour Tests
I worked a bunch of years in quality control testing in a light gauge plastic film plant and am very familiar with tensile testing of thin flexible items including fishing lines. I have a bunch of doubts about their tests. Their knot strength tests showed a drop in line strength. When testing tensil...

Re: TROLLING MOTOR BATTERY PROBLEMS!! PLEASE HELP!!
Two 6 V gollf cart batteries only way to go with a 12 V system. You should get 3 trips before charging also. These batteries should last 5-6 years if you don't charge till they need it. They last longer if you don't charge them every time you go. Check with voltmeter after every trip, and if your vo...

Re: Crawdad Color Question
I may be wrong here, but I was always thought that age of crawdads determined their color. Young ones green, middle age different shades of brown, and older ones more oranges and reds start to show up. I remember a very long time ago in Kentucky we used to seine small creeks for minnows for our own ...

Re: CLOSED FACE REELS
Daiwa Gold Cast is by far the best. My lady friend doesn't have arm strength for a baitcaster, and don't like an open face because it "hangs from the bottom of the rod". They have an oscillating spool so the the line doesn't dig in. Drag no good, so she had to learn to back-reel and "...

Re: Wow!!! Baby duck bite is on!
True story about ducks. A few years ago my buddy Ken were at Bass Lake and by a dock we were fishing was a momma duck and 13 little ones ( I didn't know they had that many). A week later, same spot momma only had 8 behind her. Another week later-same spot, and momma only had 3 following her. Today t...

Re: Trolling Motor battery
Only way to go is two 6V golf cart batteries wired parallel to make 12V. You should get at least 3 trips per charge, and don't recharge every time, and they should last 5 yr. Need a voltmeter to check volts. You'd be ok to go if you have over 12.4 V. Don't charge if they don;t need it. These batterie...
