Re: The town of Oroville sucks

I didn't mention Americas best, but lets just say we were there last year. Lock your stuff in your room, don't put a cover on your boat either. Covers were cut to get to stuff. I did like the place and it's really setup well for boaters and small clubs that like to stay together. We just had problem...

Re: The town of Oroville sucks

I actually agree on this one. Last couple of times our club has gone there we've had issues. Sort of thing that keeps a club from going back again is too many bad experiences regardless of what they are. Two years ago I resorted to leaving the Motel 6 at 10 and getting my refund for that night. Slep...

Prop Pitch Question at Altitude

I was up at Bullards Bar this weekend and I thought there was something wrong with my motor. I didn't think we were at that high of altitude but I rarely have my boat much above 1000' see level. After talking with most everyone else they recognized the power loss as well. I have a 1997 - 18'.6"...

I'm looking for a good place to camp near I5 at Shasta. Truck and Trailer
I'm trying to cut down on my budget.
Needs to have Hook Up to charge boat and Showers would definitely be a plus.

This is great advise for everyone. I've seen a lot of issues with Club Members that did not have the right equipment. I also keep a 4x8 piece of wood with an angle cut into it. If you get a flat and pull off the road your trailer could be so low that you can't even get a jack under it. You put the b...

Your rod size sounds good too me. Have you been using it for awhile, if not don't give up on it? I'm 5'9" and use a G-Loomis Cranking rod that is 6'6" and wish it was the 7' model. Dobyns does make a rod that would be great, but the one I'm thinking of is a 7' model. "on my list"...
