Re: Looking for bass boat alarm while I'm in hotel room?

Kevin VanDam uses one that has a key fob he takes into his room at night. The key fob sounds an audible alarm, as does the alarm in the boat.

He demonstrates it here on our Under the Lid video

Honestly, I don't personally know anyone in the Bay Area, but I hear good things about Boatmasters as a whole. If you wanted to come towards Sacramento, Out of Bounds Speed and Marine is my choice with C&C Marine as another option. Installing units like that - assuming one bow and one console, a...

Re: Who Does LED Installs (Delta Area)

Watch the adhesive on the back of the Bluewater LED's. I installed them in the lockers of my Skeeter and the adhesive let go in three boxes after three or four months. I thought I had cleaned effectively, but may not have done as well as I thought.

Easy install otherwise and plenty bright.

Many of the pros have had difficulties with them. Some have had charger issues, and others have had battery issues. Re: Just cancelled my subscription to BASS; Bass Masters Mag

Why can't you guys realize that B.A.S.S. isn't coming West not because they don't want to? The reason they haven't come here in a few years is because our municipalities DO NOT pay them the fees they agree to. Stockton is bankrupt and has no money for such things and Lakeport - to my best understand...

Re: Bassmaster is a joke...well not a joke just disapointed!

Once again. Stockton is bankrupt and Lakeport has still not finished paying for the 2010 trip they made. It has nothing to do with fear of anyone beating them, it has to do with the fact that the people on our side of the country don't live up to the responsibilities they've agreed to. It is a busin...

Re: Proper line storage

The fridge is a little too cold, creates too much variance in the temperatures from fridge to air temp. The reason line breaks down is heat to cold temperatures or too much sun exposure. The cooler is the right idea. Many of the top level anglers store their bulk spools in coolers in their trucks; b...

Typical Westernbass. Gary, Great points. you're absolutely right, and you guys tried to get it done with OHI, but for whatever reason, it didn't get to the execution phase. Why does everyone blame semipro tournaments as the reason "PRO Team" fields are low? That's ridiculous. Many of you don't have a perspective on this because you weren't doing this in the late 80's and early 90's, or you've forgotten how things ran then. There were three organizations that ...

All I can say is that FPT is the only circuit that posts each and every dollar taken in, and paid out at the tournaments. Go look at the results on the Future Pro Tour website - Vince posts the number of teams in the event, and you can do the math to figure out that he pays the 80% that he promises ...

Yes, it is.

It allows you to adjust the tension on the shaft, which will save from overstretching the cables.

Re: Alabama tangles

It has to do with the lead head.

When the head of the rig weighs more, or is close to the same weight as the swimbait end, they tumble on the cast. You can try a polymer head version as suggested above, or you can put heavier heads on the business end of the ones you are trying now.
