I posted Ken's Big fish. I pretty sure it also broke the club record. Yes, he won the tourny and big fish.

15 Pounder at McClure
Ken Eddy brought in a 15 lb'r at the Fresno Bass Club Tourny on Sunday. Needless to say, his Fish-On jigs will sell better. Most people fought spotted look-alikes. Way to go Ken.

Re: Fish and Ski vs Bass Boat
I have a '96 Stratos SF180 and it has been a very good choice. When I go to Havasu, I get up early and fish for bass, come back at 11, put up the bimini top, and the wife will come out for me while I fish for stripers. She really likes the room in the floor area and the windshields. She just reads a...

Worldmark Resort Clearlake Timeshare?
Has anyone stayed at the Worldmark Timeshare in Nice on Clearlake? I looked on Google maps and if there is a launch ramp, it doesn't appear to have a dock next to it? The launch looks to be one lane dirt? It looks like there is a dock but not next to the launch. Is it secure? both at the dock and pa...

Anybody know who makes a paddle tail grub 3 1/2" called a Neon Deon? It's purple with red flake? I bought these a long time ago and lost the label and all that is left is a sticker on the zip lock bag with this name .

Re: Jerkbait vs Crankbait
Why not throw a crank out and work it like a jerkbait? Do the pause - jerk - pause? Why won't that be as effective? Especially in colder water where the wider body and bill would make it slower?

Jerkbait vs Crankbait
Why is it that all references to crankbaits say to make sure you are deflecting off of some type of structure but jerkbaits are made for more open water? Is it just the action of each? or that jerkbaits are more slender for a different appeal? I've never done very well on jerkbaits and would like to...

Kinda wondering, most tournaments do not allow any prepared baits, so what is Gulp classified? They advertise that it dissolves. I have never read anything on this forum that anybody is using or has used it? Is it legal for tournaments?

Isn't NADA just like Blue Book? Usually selling something, you check it out for what the dealers pay? Then see what they are going for above that?
I know I'm getting ready to sell my Stratos Fish & Ski and checked it out. Was surprised at the result.

Thanks, everyone. You gave me lots of ideas. The Bass & Walleye link gave me new insite into the motor selection. I'm doing a complete checkoff list for myself about the features and will try them all. I would rather research and be happy in the end, so i'll take more time.

I'm getting close to getting a newer boat, like a memo, or slightly used. I've got it down to either a Skeeter, Triton, or Bass Cat. Learned my lessons. Kept the boat in the open, so I used a blue plastic tarp over the canvas to 'really protect everything' which trapped moisture and caused all kinds of mold. Then bought a portable carport and kept just the canvas cover on and ran a fan on a timer, but kept the cover proped up abo...

Thanks for the help guys. It's usually when I'm in tight quarters like the ramp area at B&W or flippin docks or just before blastoff when the wind or tides push me too close to someone else that it really matters. I'll try the trim up higher next time.
