Haven't hunted it this year but I had no. 3 once last year. You'll get a good blind. Just look over the blind results at the window and you'll where to go.

My 2006 Idaho Elk Hunt....long story
Well, Monday Oct. 30th had arrived after much preparation and anticipation. It was with some nervousness that I loaded my hunting equipment into my friend Tim’s truck and started the drive to Boise, Idaho for our Elk hunt. Nervous I guess because I had never done an out-of-state elk hunt and I was...

Would call C&C Marine in Citrus Heights. Good folks there. But, before you do, pull the cowling and check the water line going to the output hole. Sometimes dirt or debri can get in there and block it up. Happened a couple of times with my old 25 hp Evinrude.

Re: "WHY THEY CALL BASS HOGS"
Was at Clear Lake three weeks ago and going down a bank my buddy says look, there was something dimpling the water. It turned out to be a three-ich bass with about an inch long shad stuck in its throat. We motored over to it and caught it. We got the shad out and set the little fellow go. My six-yea...

Personal Best Bass at Clear Lake Friday
Caught my pb bass at Clear Lake Friday. Hooked her flipping a jig under a dock. She went 9-1 on handheld scales. I was pshyched to say the least. Lost count of how many 2-4 pounders we caught. We also saved a baby bass' life. Saw something dimpling the surface and motored over and a three inch bass ...

Funniest one I have witnessed. Lake Berryessa while fishing near the Berryessa Marina launch. Heard some loud slapping noises and turned to see a guy in flip-flops being pulled down the ramp by his boat trailer. Seems he had unhooked it before he turned it to park it off to the side of the ramp. Fin...

I don't think I can answer the main question about carpet but I would highly reccommend you use Copper Green on the wood. My old boat had plywood decking in it for over 10 years and this was in a leaky riveted boat.

Fish senkos, 4-inch worms, jigs, crankbaits like rattletraps or Shad raps, jerk baits, especially a floating Rapala. Split-shotting works well there. Would even try some topwater early and late. Should be fish all over but I would hit the islands at the midway point of the lake, and the north and ea...

I can remember a friend of mine that worked at Hogan's got a video tape in the early to mid-80's that covered fishing at Clear Lake. I particularly remember this angler fishing offshore rock piles. Anyone know the tape I'm talking about and where I might find a copy?

Glad nobody got bit. We used to go houseboating on Dale Hollow Lake every summer and would kill copperheads on the rocks in front of the boat. Glad none ever found it onboard! My Dad was deathly afraid of snakes since being bitten when he was a kid and no telling what would have happened on the boat!
