I agree with Smile_n_Jack in regards to being cautious about buying a used boat where the seller won't let you start the engine. I will be at the tournament with my displays of products from ESOX Rods, Put a Sock on It, Save Phace, Lefty's Lures, Xtreme Reel, Cool Foot and Mend-it.

I will have a reel cleaning station set up and a station with Mend-it that you can use to repair your plastic baits.

I don't think they have an inspection requirement for Lake Shasta. You can contact Phil's Prop and Tackle in Redding to verify.

The frequency is based on how your reels are performing. If they begin to feel sluggish or you notice that you are loosing casting distance then it's time to relubricate. You can also try Speed Traps and 1/4 ounce jigs with curly tail grubs along the rip rap in Sutter Slough or along the rip rap on the Sacramento between Steamboat Slough and Walnut Grove. Lots of dinks!!!

The Bryant/Crenshaw Memorial Scholarship is an excellent cause and I was happy to support it. I won a few raffle prizes and even prepaid my rally fees for next year.
