Put the trolling motor on high and throw reaction baits all day. Plastics get bit, but the key for me is to cover a TON of water. They will hit topwater all day.

Get youself a new fortrex first. Then save up for new graphs. The graphs you have now are good units as far as 2d sonar is conserned. You will really enjoy a new trolling motor. I love my fortrex. When you do upgrade your graphs make sure you get si capable units.

I have been very happy with all 3 companies mentioned. They each seem to have their niche, but are all great. It seems that BTD has had more sales and promos lately, which is pretty cool.

e=mc2 nailed it. The only thing I would add is stick to your jigs and worms. I haven't heard of a fish being caught on a reaction bait in a while.

I'd have to go with Lower Otay. I don't always struggle out there. I've even won a couple times. The problem is consistency. I just can't keep that lake dialed in. It's either really good or just horrible.
