Re: Talon 12's vs Talon 15's
Universal Mania has 12' Talons for $1459. I only see a couple places online that sell the 15' Talons and they want $2499.
Personally I wouldn't waste my money on either one of them or power poles.

Are the 15' Talons really $1K each more then a 12' Talon? I sure wouldn't pay that much more for 3'. Buy the 12's then with the extra you would have spent on the 15's buy a Minn Kota Ultrex.

Buy a newer used glass boat and fish out of it til you die. By the time you retire a new top of the line glass bass boat is going to cost $125K. A 2013 glass boat will be just fine in 2033 for fun fishing or if you want to compete in larger tournaments. You can add the latest accessories and repower...

I have a 2000 watt Yamaha generator and I used to run three 10 amp chargers at the same time without any issues. Plenty of power for the job. Make sure you hide it whether its at your campsite or in your vehicle because they're a target for theft.

Those topwater fish are fun. I was out Wednesday and done okay. I fished from about 8:30-1:00. I think I boated 4 fish in the 3-4 lb class and several other sub 2 lb fish. I caught one of the better fish on top and one punching then I believe the rest on senkos. The wind got up so I left.

Every gravel ramp will be different so you would need to make sure you know what type you're launching into. If the launch is steep then I wouldn't do it. A ramp with a moderate slope and hard bottom you shouldn't have a problem. The ramp could also have a drop that you can't see and your trailer co...

Okay so the native's can't help us. The local politicians won't do squat. Environmentalists won't do anything because they're a bunch of libs that see fishing as a right wing activity. The only thing fisherman will do is bitch on the internet. I guess the lake is on its own.

Obviously WDFW would prefer if these fish species were eradicated but they disguise their agenda as "simplifying sport rules" which makes it sound like they're doing the fisherman a favor.
I wish these A-holes would just do their job and protect what we have instead of playing politics.

Are you sponsored by them or did they give you free lures or what? If the bait is all that then you might piss off a few of the big bait guys for letting the cat out of the bag. The bait does look great. I swore I wouldn't by anymore $100 lures but I just might have to give this one a try.

If the transom is solid then why mess with it? Add your talon(s) and other upgrades and go fishing. If and when a problem arises fix it. If it ain't broke don't mess with it. If one day the boat isn't worth fixin then swap your equipment to another boat.

It took me a long time to break the DD barrier. Figured out last year that if you fish the delta and clear lake as much as possible during pre-spawn and spawn then there's a good chance of catching a bass over 10 lbs. Even if you don't break the 10# mark your gonna catch a bunch in the 5-8 lb class.

I'm guessing that boat will top out in the low 40's. How fast are you looking to go?
Length will play no part in top end speed. Width and weight combined will probably take a few mph off the top end with what your current boat gets. Heck, being its a new motor it might perform the same.
