I was out yesterday (4/11/2018) in the Franks Tract area. It wasnt that bad. I'd say 1-2 feet of visibility, maybe more. You really couldnt see the beds though other than maybe a lighter color on the bottom. I couldnt see fish on beds though. It was a tough day. One small male fish and 4 dinks.

I think there's a bearing at the top inside the control head assembly (not sure what MK calls it). Have you looked at that one too?

Tom - count me in again this year. Last year was a great event. It was fantastic to be able to get out on the water with the Vets. Is this going to be a fly fishing venue again this year? I was out last Sunday and didnt see any hyacinth - its too early still. Water is too cold (59 degF). It was a very tough bite for us too - not even a hit. Water is still pretty stained. I think most people that were out on Sunday found it tough.

Costco batteries are manufactured by Interstate now. I just bought one of their marine/RV deep discharge batteries from Costco for my cranking battery. Only one year warranty though - I was kinda surprised about that.
