I live in Stanislaus county and my bill was just like yours. School garbage added on. I assume those school taxes won't be on our property taxes next go around but who knows.

I would use straight braid. Fish don't notice line especially when they're buried in the salad. I've thrown senkos on straight braid next to tule edges and watched fish follow them straight to the bottom. All they focused on was the senko.

You may want to stay away from the Curado "DC" with the new braking technology. A friend has one and he can't pitch at all with it. He never really could pitch anyways but with that real it seemed worse.

There's a lot of good reels out there so whatever brand you prefer. I haven't had much luck with sub $80 reels. I've been using Daiwa Tatula's the last 4-5 years and they have held up great. I pitch drop shots and toss senkos on em with 15# line and they do great.

On my 03 520 my top cap sits on top of the transom and its flush with the back of it. Looks like you have at least a 1" gap. No bueno. Maybe someone with good insurance will rear end you on the way to the fiberglass shop.

"Fish" Andrew and his partner won it with 20 and change. I think 2nd place had a little over 16 lbs and third had about 14.5 lbs.

The only thing that set them apart from everybody else was they generally had everything in stock and you received your order in 1-2 days. They tried to get some of that shipping money back they were spending on nearly every order and it bit em in the rear.

I like to be as silent as I can when it comes to banging into things, trolling motor, compartment lids, etc but I always play music and sometimes loud. I feel it has zero impact on the fish. It doesn't scare the bigguns either because i've caught them as well with the stereo cranked.

I was there on Saturday. There were bait balls all over the lake in the 30-60' range but nothing was feeding on them. Partner and I fished mainly in 15-50' of water with neko rigs and drop shots for around 25 fish with no size to speak of. If you can't find active bait balls then the fishing stinks....
