I have run both and I currently run a 2006 Z20 with a 225 Opti XS. Both are great boats and either would be an excellent choice. Go to your nearest Home Depot or Lowes in the paint department and ask for marine grade silicone. I use it on all of my frogs.

What does it mean to be back seated? How can a pro back seat you on a lake like Shasta where there are fish from 0-100 feet?

I would love to hear the story.

Being back seated us a very subjective and easy thing to accuse a Pro of doing.

Yes, or Havasu has a really good tackle store that has it. I bought mine from a Wally World in CA. Check your local store. You can buy the stamp in CA or AZ.

It should be very easy to catch fish. Try C-rig a 6 inch lizzards green pumpkin, LC LV 500 in ghost minow and crawdad, frogs in white and black, and speed traps in crystal craw and delta red.

Anything shad or crawdad pattern. You want something that runs 0-10 feet.

I just came back from there and the fishing will be tough with 400 anglers on the water. Those Havasu fish don't hold up very well to pressure.

Yes, you do need to own a Ranger. it's always been that and it's right there in the rules.

3. Cash a check in 3/4 of the tournaments that I fish.

One more things

The vast majority of non-boaters and pros are good people and great anglers. However, like any other event, their are a few people who are hardcore at any cost to the future of the sport.
