ms slammer rigging

Is it best to tie line to clip that is supplied with lure, or better to remove and tie direct to the eye?Its the 9" one if that matters

I use a really big wire snap that is simiar to a lock wire snap you see on like....a silver buddy. with the nine inch I use 25 triple fish and I swap out the cheesy hooks also....other than that it is a sweet bait.

So it's the same size only heavier gauge?

Stick with the stock snap, it works just fine. Tying direct to the screw eye is not good, the knot is too spread out at the base of the knot.
