Bethel Island, Ca – All the planning, talking, and waiting is over…and now it’s time to get down to it.
The 2016 UFC – Ultimate Frog Challenge is finally here and the entire west is waiting anxiously to see just which top water frog brand the California delta’s huge population of bass prefer, and who will carry the moniker of “Frog master” on what is arguably the most prolific bass fishery in the United States.
Last year, Ken Cassettari and Greg Troughton captured the Top Frog award for the River2Sea brand, winning the event’s “Royal Rumble” (an event within the regular event, where each brand was represented by one team).
Moreover, the overall win (Pro Division) went to Chuck McCartney and Kenny Schmidt (using SPRO), with overall big fish honors going to Roy and Richard Desmangles (who used Live Target).
But the question remains to be answered as to whether any of these former winners will turn in another command performance, and solidify their place in the minds of their peers as new and true “Frog masters” of the delta.
