June 20 will be the final date of the 2009 Top Stick Pros regular season. With one event to go, Manas Malikian has a slim 2 point lead over Cliff Gregory. The falling water at Castaic has pushed fish to numerous different patterns all over the lake, with topwater..reaction...and worms getting bites. Entries are being taken for the June 20th event, and initial response shows us that the field should be strong with more guys expressing interest than they have for the previous events. Anyone that has fished at least two events is eligible for the TOC at Margarita in late summer. So if you have fished one event, don't miss this one...you can still qualify.

Will the TOC be combined with the Top Stick Joes at Margarita? TSJ announced their TOC would be Sept 26&27.
Good luck at Castaic!
Later; Big Ed!

Thanks Ed, I dont think the two will be combined. Putting two events on the same body of water would be counter productive. Even though it would be cool to have the two events run side by side, Margarita is not big enough. If we were at Clear Lake or Havasu that might work, but not Margarita. Either way, some of the Top STick staff will be making two trips to Margarita, and that alone is a good reason to have two seperate weekendsBig Ed wrote:DL;

We are going out of the west ramp and the word is Castaic will be starting mussel inspections this weekend, so we may very well be the first tournament to get the probe. Please be CLEAN and DRY if you plan to fish with us on saturday.
The gate will be open at 4:00am and closed at 5:00 am. The lake opens at 5:45 and that first 30 minutes is crucial for morning success, so please be on time. As soon as we are all checked in and the meeting is concluded, we will launch..the earlier the better. If you have any questions call me 714-264-4796
