I just opened a brand new spool of 20lb Red Label and it's no longer lightly wound across the spool! Saguar called it levelwind technology I think. Is this the new normal for Seaguar, or did I just get a bad spool?
Thanks for any help

Sounds like you got a bad spool. Every spool of Red Label i've bought has been tightly wound.

Re: Seaguar Red Label
The Level Wind Technology is no longer being done for Red Label as of a few months ago. It is still being used for all of the other products like AbrazX, InvizX, Tatsu and the Flippin' Fluorocarbon.

Got the email from Tackle Warehouse. Seaguar jacked up the price and is no longer using levewind technology on red label. Thats the last spool of that stuff I'll ever buy.

Try Bass Pro Fluoro. It's level wound.
