6 over 20 WON BASS Casitas Nights 6/18

The biggest heat wave of the entire summer, a roaring full moon and a record-setting 25 teams were set to go at the 2016 WON BASS "Casitas Nights" season opener. After two years of chasing El Niño saltwater species our favorite son at Lake Casitas Scott Parish returned with good friend Glenn Wolfgang and put a five bass sack on the scales weighing 25.17 pounds to capture the victory. He hadn't been to Lake Casitas in years so decided he would fish within sight of the marina. Never traveling more than a half a mile from the take off point they caught over 30 fish and culling 3 pound bass was common for this evening. The victory netted them $1,750.00 in cash and spectacular trophies for their efforts. In second place was the team of Martin Brian and Ray Rodriguez and they were smooth with their five bass sack at 23.07 pounds and collected $1,870.00 in cash for their nights work. In third place where Casitas veterans Larry Elshere and Doug Hanson with a 22.22 pound bag and $740.00 in cash. Rounding out the money list were nighttime stars Chris Chandler and Dave Delucca with five bass totaling 22.21 pounds and they collected $200.00 in cash. Next stop on the WON BASS "Casitas Nights" team tournament trail is July 9, 2016. Take off for that event will be 7 PM and the weigh-in will be at 1 AM.
