Hey folks, first off I don't work for Six Gill products, nor do I know anyone that does. So, I have nothing to gain by endorsing their baitcast reels. Last year my buddy clued me into this brand and I bought two of the Typhoon model in the 7.0:1 retrieve. I have owned Curado's and some other quality reels in the past. I'm here to tell you these are some of the smoothest, farthest casting reels I have ever laid hands on. The bodies are constructed of 6061 aluminum and these reels are very lightweight. I recently landed a 6 1/2 pounder on the Delta with ease on one of these high speed reels. The only question with them is how many years they will last? Also, even though the price is $109(which they are worth every penny of that), Amazon has the Typhoon for $68. So, if you have Amazon Prime, you pay nothing for shipping. Give one a try!
