Our family has been camping there since the 60's. I love that place. GV8 is my favorite spot.

I was thinking about camping there with the family and taking the boat up. Can you keep your boat at the dock over night? Can you plug in your on boat charger? How's the crowd at the campsite? Family friendly?

For years we camped at gate #1 and in sites 15 and 16. No power to charge your boat there. My parents and uncles loved it in gate #1. We found that at gate #2 there are two ral nice private spot at the end of the little dirt road. GV8 and GV7. Again, for a bass boat it's not all that. No power. I used to just rent there alum boats, bring my trolling motor and graph and rip some lips for a day. You probably can get a site with power, but as fare as dealing with getting a bass boat into the site as well as a truck, Im not sure about it. Family friendly for us, at least in the past. I havent been there in a few years.
