For those who participated and finished in the top 25 in any of the Coors Light Delta Team Series events held in 2016, it’s time to get registered for the 4th annual Coors Light Invitational Championship, presented by Turlock Ram, which will be held Saturday, February 10th on the California Delta at Ladd’s Marina!
Nobody has to tell a “delta rat” about the quality of bass that can be found in mid-February on the California delta, as most know that during this time, a ton of big females will move up into the shallows, and can be easily taken on fat jigs, big swimbaits, and big Senkos…so the time of year for this event could not be better.
Reigning champions and “certified” delta rats Nick Nourot and Scott Hellesen, know this better than most, and plan to use the momentum from several top finishes in 2017 delta events, to help them claim the honor of being the event’s first ever 2-time champions.

“Nobody knows the delta like we do, and this event is being held at a time that is perfect for what we like to do..so everybody needs to know that they will be fishing for 2nd place!”, they noted in confident tones.
But hold on a minute.
Qualifying anglers such as perennial favorites Harvey Pulliam, Jamond Andrews, Tim Venkus, and Lamaj Plaza - all “delta gurus” in their own right, aren’t having any of it, and you can best believe that they too will bring their “A” games to an event that is sure to be a BIG FISH shootout!
