Cal Delta East Union Island

Post by Hookset5 »

Is this area motor-able? My map card contour lines fade in and out. Is it safe for a bassboat?

If you're talking about the Slough just south of Union Point that heads east, there is a rock dam a little way in that you can't motor past.
You can see it on the Navionics Webapp: https://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en#b ... miffFjokdV

Hey thanks for the reply, I took that link and drew a pink line where I'm referring too. It's probably shallow as all get out but ya never know unless ya ask.

Big sand bar there at four courners, been there many years...most of the time its just below the surface making it difficult to see. Middle river gets pretty skinny at the end but you can usually still get in....probably easier to fish from the victoria side when the rock barrier is down.....lots of obstructions in the water down south so proceed with caution
