has anyone seen one of these on the Delta? After watching many seasons of Swamp People I figured these critters were only native to the deep south and none were out west. Nice alligator food

Nutria, a 20-pound rodent with the ability to destroy roads, levees and wetlands, has been discovered in marshlands on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley ranging from near Grayson in Stanislaus County to south of Dos Palos. CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE
